This disability policy is designed to provide income replacement benefits to insured individuals working in professional, white collar and gray collar technical occupations. This policy cannot be cancelled as long as premiums are paid and premiums are guaranteed as stated in the policy. The coverage is guaranteed renewable to age 65. Beyond age 65, the policy is renewable for life, as long as the policy was in force the prior year and the insured is gainfully employed. Premium rates after age 65 are based on the rates in effect for such ages.
This policy is available to all non-cancelable occupational classes and can be used as a low cost, catastrophic type of disability income coverage. This is not available for Employer-Sponsored Plans. However, it was primarily designed for qualifying at-home occupations. This disability policy provides coverage designed to reimburse owners of small businesses (sole proprietors, partners of closely held corporations), operated from a location away form the home. For normal and customary expenses necessary to maintain the business. This policy cannot be cancelled as long as premiums are paid and premiums are guaranteed as stated in the policy. The coverage is guaranteed renewable to age 65. Beyond age 65, the policy is renewable for life, as long as premiums are paid, insured is gainfully employed at the usual occupation at least 30 hours per week, and insured is responsible for the expenses of maintaining the business or office. Premium rates after age 65 are based on the rates in effect for such ages.
