Scott grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts and graduated from Ayer High School in Ayer, MA. He entered the service at age seventeen and served a five year active duty enlistment starting at the tail end of Desert Storm in 1991. As a graduate of the United States Military Intelligence Academy in late 1992, Scott spent five years on active duty and three years in the reserves as an Intelligence Analyst. His responsibilities included enemy situational analysis as well as terrain and weapon/threat analysis. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant by age twenty and attained a Top Secret/SCI clearance for the US Government. He was stationed in Friedberg, Germany for two years before being stationed at Ft. Drum, NY as a part of the storied 10th Mountain Division for three years, including a six month stay in Haiti ending in 1995. After completing his active duty enlistment in 1996 Scott attended Worcester State College in Worcester, MA where he received a BA in History in 2000. Upon graduation Scott was hired immediately by MassMutual Life Insurance Company where he worked as a Disability Income Consultant before being recruited to take a position at Union Central in 2005. Scott lives in Simsbury, CT with his wife Lauren and two children, Colin and Lily. |
